Set within the car park of a colonial bungalow in White Town, Pondicherry, this project was envisioned as an Airbnb with a common area, kitchenette, and three bedrooms. The main challenge was spatial planning—especially accommodating an internal staircase within a tight footprint.
Walls were kept to a minimum to maintain openness, while a clean structural grid allowed for efficient stacking of functions and minimized wastage. Interiors were done in light, French-inspired tones with minimal vertical elements to ensure visual continuity.
The elevation drew from nearby colonial buildings to ensure the structure blended seamlessly with its historic context. Simple metal grills on windows and vintage-style wall lights—reminiscent of Parisian streets—reinforced the architectural language of the old town.
