Studio ZO is a multidisciplinary design practice offering end-to-end consultancy and turnkey solutions across a wide range of building typologies—including residential, commercial, and institutional projects. Our expertise also extends to landscape, product, and furniture design. Every creation is designed in-house, tailored to context, and entirely customizable.
The name 'ZO' stems from the acronym ‘Zero to One’—a phrase that embodies our ethos: to pioneer, to revolutionize. ‘Zero’ symbolizes a pure void, an untouched space from which emerge ideas unseen and unheard. ‘One’ is the first bold step into creation. Together, they reflect our mission: to transform the present and invent the future.
This philosophy shapes our design approach. We strive not just to improve what exists, but to imagine what could be. We believe that everyone carries within them the spark of creation. As architects, we help give that spark form, structure, and meaning.

​Space is a dimension of human life that subtly influences—and often defines—how we perceive all other dimensions: physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual. At ZO, we view space as a tangible cocoon where experiences unfold and memories take root. As architects of space, we believe we carry a profound responsibility—not just professionally toward our clients, but by extension, toward society at large. The way we shape space shapes lives. Our focus is on designing the experience of a space or product—and, through that, the memory it leaves behind—rather than the physical object itself. So what is our design process? We focus on four pillars of thought - CONTEXT, COLLABORATE, CREATE, EXPERIENCE.
Everything exists in some sort of relation to its surroundings. Whether this is fluid or rigid, varying or constant, old or new, relevant or irrelevant, symbiotic or parasitic, context study helps in understanding the past and present. We believe good design is one that responds appropriately to its context. ​​​

Design is neither the product of a single mind nor a sprint. It’s a winding journey - one that grows, adapts, and refines itself constantly. At ZO, we believe in the power of collaboration— from clients to site labour. Over the years, we've nurtured an ecosystem of trusted people who are an integral part of everything we do.
Mind blowing ideas usually stem from the simplest of things. This is essentially our approach. We simply aim to create something unique, fresh something 'one' in its nature with every successive project. We find that rethinking the most mundane of details result in architecture that transcends.

We design experiences that are evocative, and open to interpretation. What excites us most is witnessing how people encounter our spaces in unexpected ways—often telling stories we never imagined. It’s these shifting perceptions that give a space its true value: vibrant experiences that live on as lasting memories.

Ganesh began his journey as an intern at Mindspace Architects under Ar. Sanjay Mohe, later working with Architecture Paradigm, Bangalore and at Webe Design Lab, Chennai. A graduate of Sathyabama University, he co-founded Studio ZO in 2021 with seven years of diverse experience.
Meticulous & detail-driven, Ganesh believes art begins with appreciation & observation. He envisions ZO as a creative collective: a confluence of artistic and design sensibilities —a space for creatives across disciplines to come together, explore, experiment and create.
Outside work, he finds joy in Steve Jobs’ speeches, late-night CSK matches, and is always up for a plate of biriyani.

Harini completed her undergraduation at SAP, Anna University, Chennai (2016) and earned her master’s from MEASI Academy of Architecture (2020).
A writer at heart, she freelanced as a copywriter for design brands, architecture firms, and independent artists—an experience that deepened her understanding of the creative process across disciplines. At Studio ZO, she brings these insights into every project, shaping its narrative into a design story that is timeless, engaging, and memorable.
A devoted Harry Potter fan, Harini loves cooking spicy fish curry, singing karaoke, and is often seen with her nose buried in a paperback.
