The client's brief was clear: they wanted their apartment made into a contemporary, uncluttered space that felt soft to the eye. With a particular fondness for lighting, they encouraged us to explore innovative ways to illuminate the home.
We responded by designing interior units with built-in lighting that acted as ambient light sources, softly washing the spaces with a gentle glow. Statement lighting fixtures were also carefully curated and styled across the apartment to create focal points and highlight select corners. A mild pastel colour palette was chosen to complement the mood lighting—beiges, sandals, fawn tones, sage greens, and powder blues were layered thoughtfully across the apartment’s surfaces. These hues work well under warm lights, creating a calm, mellow, yet luxurious atmosphere.
Spatial interventions were also made to enhance ventilation and circulation. The closed kitchen, which originally received minimal light through a service balcony overlooking an interior courtyard, was opened out to the hall. This not only brought in natural light but also made the space feel significantly larger and more connected.
