Interiors
The villa’s most striking feature is its tranquil setting within a lush suburban garden, with ample sunlight streaming through floor-length windows. The green and earthy tones of the garden influence the interior palette, complemented by bare white walls, floors, and doors. This strong natural context, along with the client’s preference for minimal, grounded aesthetics and rustic finishes, set the foundation for a Japandi-inspired design. The design harnesses the site’s natural strengths to the client’s advantage. Key strategies include softening spatial proportions with curves, creating cozy window nooks, incorporating built-in furniture for efficiency, and using a warm, neutral colour palette with rustic materials like wood, stone, and fabric—all contributing to an ambiance of comfort and nature.
The material and colour palette is natural, rustic, and dignified. The neutral base tones act as a canvas, while the wood adds depth. Use of natural materials like stone and marble, with all their imperfections, gives an unpretentious effect and allows for their appreciation.
